Nicholas Thacker
Nicholas Thacker is a highly accomplished dance teacher, choreographer, and professional dancer with an impressive resume. He has performed with several prestigious dance companies, including the Formations Dance Company, Jellybean Dance Collective, and the Alabama Repertory Dance Theater. Nicholas has also performed at the World Games 2022 in Birmingham alongside notable artists such as Toni, Tony, Toné, Pastor Mike Jr., Boosie Collins, and Yolanda Adams.
Nicholas's dance training includes a BA in Dance and a BA in Creative Media from the University of Alabama, as well as an Associates in Dance. He has also received training in contemporary Pilates, ballet, jazz/commercial dance, contemporary/modern, and musical theater/voice from renowned instructors such as Suzanne Muck, Noel Dupius, and Rita Synder.
In addition to his extensive dance background, Nicholas possesses a wide range of special skills that make him a valuable asset in the industry. He is a certified instructor for Club Pilates Birmingham and in Acrobatic Arts.
Nicholas has received numerous awards and recognition for his work in dance, including the Lou Wall Award (twice), the Dance Alabama Film Festival Award, and being selected as one of the top 30 out of 152 participants in a featured segment. With his exceptional talent and diverse skillset, Nicholas is sure to continue making a significant impact in the dance industry. He recognizes the importance of providing opportunities for black and POC artists to shine, and he has been fortunate to attend several productions featuring all-black or all-POC casts. Through his teaching and advocacy, Nicholas is helping to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for artists of all backgrounds.

He understands that every dancer's body is unique and that it is important to find ways to adjust and grow without feeling lost or discouraged. By focusing on technique and the power of hard work and character, he helps his students build the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the industry.
